Assistant Webmaster

About the Role:

  • Position: Volunteer Webmaster

  • Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week (flexible)

  • Location: Remote (immerse yourself in the digital landscape of the Broads!)

What You'll Do:

  • Manage Our Website: Keep our site up-to-date with the latest events, news, and information about the Broads.

What You'll Bring:

  • A passion for nature and dedication to the Broads Society's mission, with experience in website management and work independently and as part of a remote team.

Trustee

About the Role:

  • Position: Volunteer Trustee

  • Time Commitment: Flexible, with regular board meetings

  • Location: Remote and occasional in-person meetings (immerse yourself in the governance of the Broads!)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide Governance and Leadership: Play a key role in strategic planning, policy development, and ensuring the Society operates within its charitable objectives.

  • Engage with Stakeholders: Work closely with fellow trustees, members, and the broader community to foster relationships and partnerships that benefit the Broads.

  •  Safeguard the Future: Ensure the Society's resources are managed effectively, and that we remain true to our mission of protecting and celebrating the Broads.

What You'll Bring:

  • A passion for conservation and a commitment to the values and mission of the Broads Society.

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to make decisions that will shape the future of the Society.

  • Experience in leadership, governance, or a keen interest in developing these skills.

Social Media Manager

About the Role:

  • Position: Volunteer Social Media Manager

  • Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week (flexible)

  • Location: Remote (connect with nature lovers from anywhere!)

What You'll Do:

  •  Engage Our Online Community: Create and share captivating content on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to showcase the Broads:

  • A love for nature and a commitment to promoting the Broads. Strong skills managing content on various social media platforms and foster a positive online community.

Events Planner

About the Role:

  • Position: Volunteer Events Planner

  • Time Commitment: Flexible, depending on event schedule

  • Location: Mostly remote, with on-site presence during events

What You'll Do:

  •  Plan and Organise Events: From initial concept to day-of execution, you'll be at the helm of creating engaging events that connect people to the mission of the Broads Society.

  • Coordinate with Vendors and Partners: Build relationships with local businesses, entertainers, and vendors to ensure every event is a success.

  • Promote Events: Work closely with our Social Media Manager and Webmaster to create buzz around our events, ensuring strong attendance and community engagement.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
