Important information about how the Broads Society operates

Our Key Governance Documents

This section brings together the Broads Society’s most important organisational documents — the materials that explain who we are, how we operate and the framework that guides our work as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

These documents are made publicly available so that members, partners and the wider community can understand our structure, governance and direction.

Constitution

Our Constitution sets out how the Broads Society is structured, governed and managed. It outlines the purpose of the charity, the powers and responsibilities of the Trustees and the rules by which the organisation operates as a CIO.

Strategic Plan

Our Strategic Plan outlines the Society’s priorities and direction of travel over the coming years. It sets out our aims, areas of focus and how we intend to deliver our charitable objects across our three strategic pillars: Heritage, Environment and Recreation. This document helps guide decision-making and ensures our work remains aligned with our purpose and responsibilities as a CIO.

Annual Reports & Accounts

Each year, the Society publishes an Annual Report and Accounts, providing an overview of our activities, achievements and financial position. These documents are submitted to the Charity Commission and made publicly available to ensure transparency and accountability.
