Our Areas of Work

The three areas we care for to help the Broads thrive

The Broads Society’s work is centred around three core areas.

The Broads is a living, working, deeply cherished landscape – rich in wildlife, shaped by history and enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people each year.

To protect and celebrate all that makes it special, our work focuses on three key areas: Heritage, Environment and Recreation.

Together, these areas help us care for the character, wildlife and experiences that make the Broads such a unique part of the UK’s natural and cultural heritage.

Each area plays an essential role in supporting our mission to protect, celebrate and enhance the Broads for everyone — today and for future generations.
