Peter Smith

Peter first became involved with the Broads Society as a Life Member, following many holidays exploring the Broads on hire cruisers before later moving to the area.

With experience as an Urban Park Manager, he brings a strong understanding of managing and caring for natural spaces, alongside a practical, hands-on approach.

He values the importance of preserving the nature and history of the Broads for its long-term future and enjoys contributing to the Society’s work in this area.

Peter feels most connected to the quieter parts of the Broads, particularly in early autumn when the landscape becomes more peaceful. He has also enjoyed supporting outdoor events since 2018.
