Paul Hayden OBE, QFSM

Paul has worked to protect the Broads and its communities for over 30 years and brings a deep understanding of both its value and the challenges it faces. He joined the Broads Society to help bring together the many voices who care about the area, ensuring they can work collectively to protect it.

With over 40 years’ experience in senior roles across government and the private sector, he brings particular expertise in identifying issues, developing practical solutions and securing funding to support them.

He most enjoys meeting the wide range of people connected to the Broads and hearing their perspectives, often finding that shared concerns unite individuals, businesses and organisations alike.

Having worked in many parts of the world, Paul feels a strong connection to the Broads on returning home—its unique character and beauty a constant reminder of why it is so important to protect.
