Mark is passionate about the unique role the Broads Society plays in bringing together heritage, recreation and environmental protection within this special landscape.

With over 40 years’ experience in international environmental conservation and management, he brings a depth of knowledge alongside extensive experience as a trustee and chair across a range of civil society organisations.

He is particularly motivated by the challenges facing the Broads, including climate change and biodiversity loss, and values being part of a strong membership working to protect it for future generations.

A keen sailor and naturalist, Mark feels most connected to the Broads from the water—experiencing its quiet beauty while sailing peacefully along its rivers and broads.
