Nature recovery is at the heart of what we do at FSD ( Friends of the South Downs ) and is a topic held with close interest nationally. The webinar is exploring the life and work of Richard Jefferies, who has left us a remarkable body of work, including nature essays, descriptions of nineteenth century rural life; novels similar in tone to Thomas Hardy, as well as his extraordinary novel about a dystopian future, After London, where Britain has been devastated by an environmental catastrophe.
